In September, Inteto Connect and Poynting conducted field tests at the Huguenot Tunnel to assess the performance of the HELI-33 Circular Polarized Cellular Antenna. Designed for challenging environments like tunnels and mines, the HELI-33 demonstrated significant improvements in cellular coverage. Tests showed reliable voice and data connectivity over 2 km inside the tunnel, marking a breakthrough in tunnel communication technology using circular polarization.
FibrePoynt, Thabure Towerco & Phuthanang Youth Trust have installed a pilot fixed internet solution to homes in Central Western Jabavu, Soweto. The solution will enable use of digital solutions in this community.
