Drive4Wildlife is an animal conservation & travel project supported by Paradise Wildlife Park & the Motor Vision awards. This project saw four members driving across Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda, delivering equipment and funds to extraordinary wildlife charities and culminating in the delivery and fitting out of a specialist vehicle that will be used by the Ugandan Wildlife Education Centre. This vehicle will be used to rescue injured animals and help assist anti-poaching patrols. Many animals – from Gorillas to Lions, Rhinos and Elephants – are badly injured, often by poachers, so the ability to retrieve, care for and rehabilitate is essential.
To ensure that they have stable and reliable internet access and GPS tracking while in remote areas they use the Slingshot CloudCase® with hardware from Peplink and a specially developed antenna solution from Poynting. Poynting designed the antenna to be integrated into the lid of the CloudCase® as can be seen above.

The Drive4Wildlife team have completed their epic adventure around East Africa. Covering 4500km in under 4 weeks, the team of 4 have explored 4 East African countries and donate funds and equipment to several projects along the way, including the African Wildlife Foundation (Manyara Ranch Conservancy, Canines For Conservation, Gorilla Guardians), Ugandan Wildlife Education Centre, Ol Pejeta & more.
